About is an innovative technology company that provides online access to courthouse documents. Since its founding in 1999, the Houston-based business had built an impressive reputation among real estate professionals, including abstractors, appraisers, real estate agents and title agents – but they wanted to get their products in front of more landmen, a specialized vertical in the oil and gas industry.

Goals / Challenges’s participation in local events, trade shows and conferences meant they had a solid industry presence – but their continued growth meant a more cohesive marketing strategy was in order, particularly where their online efforts were concerned. They wanted to ensure more new prospects could find them online while they focused their efforts on penetrating the promising oil and gas market … and that’s exactly where we came in to help.

The Process / The Solution / What We Did

Bonafide had already grown’s customer base through an integrated marketing campaign rooted in content production. So when they asked us to help them attract a new customer segment – the landman – we knew content was once again key. We created a series of highly targeted content vehicles geared toward oil and gas specialists, including articles, blog posts, infographics and a comprehensive eBook on the landman profession.

What’s more, we worked with respected industry bloggers and official organizations, like the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), to demonstrate credibility and attract a greater audience for our materials. To build buzz within the industry, content distribution was scheduled around the annual NAPE conference, where planned to introduce their innovative “Lease Alert” product.
